The Palace of Culture and Science (PkiN) boasts
an impressive architecture and exceptional size. The interiors of the building,
decorated with rare marbles and finest kinds of wood, with tessellated parquet floors,
crystal chandeliers and stylish stucco, make it a fairyland Palace, a place that
cannot be missed by anyone touring Warsaw.
PKiN offer over 16 halls with various
destinations. Halls on different floors connecting by unique marble staircase.
Thanks to this you can join each halls on complex over 5 000 m2. It makes possible
to organize congresses and conferences with satelite symposia as well as gala dinners,
cocktails and banquets for over 2000 guests.
The congress venue has perfect location
in the city center and in 15 minutes walking distance from from Old Town, Royal Castle
and Maria Skłodowska-Curie Museum (Maria's birth place). It gives also possibility to
offer accommodation in walking distance to the congress venue for almost all participants.
Congress hall
The Congress Hall constitutes an extensive Convention Center Complex which may seat
up 2 800 people. With its long and bright foyer spreading around and offering a
magnificent view over the western part of Warsaw the Congress Hall provides a sensational
place for organization of unforgettable receptions, exhibitions. 2 800 seats are
equipped with possibility of direct translations. The eight translator stations serve
all simultaneous translation needs. The modern amplifying equipment and lighting
can satisfy all organizers' demands.
A sufficient number of doorways and cloakrooms and spacious foyers flanking the
hall prevent guests from ever feeling overcrowded, even at the biggest and most popular
events.
The backrooms of the Congress Hall are adapted both to receive musical groups and to
provide a venue for topical committee sessions or for other smaller teams meeting during
conferences.
On the second floor (straight from Main Hall from Marszałkowska street) take place three
halls: Marble (1000 m2) , City (1000 m2) and Trojka (340 m2). From Marble Hall we
have access to "aneks": three smaller halls: Korczak(370 m2), Mikołajska (280m2) ,
Sienkiewicz (150 m2). Easy capability to join this halls makes possible to separate the
reception hall from the buffet or the conference halls from the exhibition hall.
On the IV floor there are five exhibition halls and two conferences rooms: Rudniew Hall
(100 seats) and Warsaw Hall (for 320 persons) is like a miniature Congress Hall.
All halls are equipped in a similar way (for simultaneous translation of four languages)
and can seat 320 people. There are three little salons off Warsaw Hall furnished for
relaxation or conference activities.
On the VI floor there are conference halls one for 530 people and two other for 100
persons each. The Concert Hall was returned to use in February 2000 after a complete
renovation. It boasts the finest in sound equipment (recording sessions are possible),
modern electrical backup and translation equipment (up to four languages
simultaneously). The hall seats 530. The additional rooms off of it can serve as dressing
and relaxing rooms or as venues for smaller gatherings by the event participants.
A large foyer guarantees ease in providing guests a coffee break, holding banquets for
all participants or setting up company stands accompanying the event.
In the case of functions requiring more extensive conference support facilities, the
nearby Renaissance and Gałczyński Halls can be added to the Concert Hall package.
These twin halls are situated symmetrically around the Concert Hall. The entrances to
them from the Concert Hall foyer allow their use as a supplement to it or for separate
functions.
